Vietnamese customers are flocking to buy pick-up trucks, prices of which are expected to increase sharply from next year. The price hike is predicted given the unreasonable price gap between pick-ups and cars with nine seats or less.
The Government has instructed the Ministry of Finance to consider changes to special consumption taxes on imported pick-up trucks to level the field for cars.
In the Vietnamese auto market, pick-up trucks are becoming a bestseller
thanks to their versatility and low prices and registration fee, auto
dealers said.
